Har fått lite förtydligande från Chris Horn i USA vilket ju kanske kan vara bra för flera här på forumet
The choke cable nipple you have a photo of is broken. There should be two ears that stick up and have a clamp around them. Those are really thin and often break. They are only good for a couple of uses. The clamp applies force by a small nut/washer/bolt. These ears and the clamp hole the sprial metal part of the choke cable. Thus the inner wire moves but the sprial wrapper is held in place.
These two photos show a complete set up.
This photo show the small bits loose. Left to right they are the nipple by itself, the clamp by itself, the clamp on the nipple (but not pushed all the way down) and the forth bit is a rusty set up but it shows the sprial housing clamped in the nipple (but the bolt is missing).
