SOLEX C 40 ADDHE
left an individual double carburetor is shown. At murena S two this Flachstromvergaser are installed on a short sucking in bridge. This carburetor resembles constructional the weber 40 DCOE, which could be alternatively used . By this arrangement each cylinder has an individual butterfly valve. Thus the influence of the cylinders is smaller by back flows and it can one “sharper” cam shaft be used clearly , than with a suction tube in the partial load range, which connects all cylinders. The quality this type is better than those 34 CIC, also the butterfly valve axle is running in ball bearings. As is the case for all better carburetors which I know, here a ball bearing of the quantity 19x7x6 ( outside diameter x inside diameter of x broad in mm) is inserted. In the case of an overhaul this should be replaced by an execution with gaskets (z. B. SKF 607-2RS1), so that their grease packing is not washed with the time by the gasoline. With all older carburetors of weber and Solex, which I had so far for overhaul, this defect had arisen! The re-equipment costs with a respectable source of purchase approx. 25 DM for 4 pieces. Nevertheless one should with a longer storage does not forget also here the bearings with a corrosion protection oil to protect. In the fits of the wave humidity can always set off and leads with the only burnished wave to Korossion. Even if one has an old carburetor with that the ball bearing with cover disks or like usually the case is not at all sealed, by the gasoline mixture the fat in the course of the years will wash, and irgenwann the wave hooks, or goes whole firmly, best with full power…

The following proceeding must be accomplished for each cylinder successively .

Mixture screw completely in-turn (engine becomes ev. still out of round run) and then unscrew, to engine the highest Idling speed has.
Subsequently, in-turn the screw until those Number of revolutions again to sink begins (leanest attitude for optimal No-load operation mixture).
Engine approx. 15 s for a long time with 3000 1/min to run leave and No-load operation control. This ev. with the screw (1) 900 to 1000 1/min correct.

The idle mixture adjustment screws of all cylinders in 1/2 revolution steps out or in-turn, to the permissible CO Worth for the idling speed one reaches. Hineindrehen ergibt mageres Gemisch.




Die Bedüsung des C 40 ADDHE
Die Vergaser wurden werksseitig auf Flow-Benches abgestimmt, damit diese in der Serie nur montiert werden konnten und keine zeitraubende Einstellng am Motor vorgenommen werden mußte. Die Erfahrung hat gezeigt, daß nicht immer alle Düsen identisch waren, damit der Motor optimal lief. So mancher Bastler hat nachträglich diese abgeglichene Bedüsung \"in Ordnung gebracht\" und es ist kaum noch eine vernünftige Enstellung möglich.

Zur Kontrolle, was werksseitig für ein Streubereich verbaut wurde, folgt hier die Tabelle. Allerdings wurden oft die Originaldüsen aufgebohrt, der eingeprägte Wert stimmt dann nicht mehr mit dem Tatsächlichen überein. Ich habe bei Messungen festgestellt, daß der aufgeprägte Wert ca. die Durchmesser der Bohrung in mm x100 beträgt. Der Wert 60 bedeutet als 0.6mm Durchmesser.
