OD-lampa och speedometer

Post by ilkka313 »

Hello Sweden and all happy Amazon owners!

First, sorry for me being stupid and not able to write this in swedish, but I'm sure you can understand. Question is about OD-lamp, is this the correct factory installed OD-lamp for B18 & M41, D-type:

If someone can take a photo of the original, I would be very happy. I received this one from Sweden (yes!) as the original OD-lamp, but is it really so? Was it always installed to same place in Sport and GT models? All other OD stuff is available form Veterans, CVI etc, but the lamp I haven't seen mentioned anywhere.

How to calibrate speedometer after changing M40 to M41 D-type and keeping rear axle ratio 4.10:1?

Cheers & all the very best,

Yes,it is red with a chrome ring around. The speed meter calibration you chang with the plastic kogg down in the gearbox under the wire, but i´m not shore how many angels it must be in the kogg. My english it not so good.

It is not the correct lamp and i don`t have any picture of the right one.
The lamp is always on the same place.
To calibrate the spedometer, use the spedometer adapter from the m40 gearbox.

The hole diameter for the lamp must be 10 mm to fit for the oiginal lamp.

Thanks for this info. How to remove speedometer adaptor from the gearbox? Does it require to put the whole thing into pieces...?

Thank you Lars, it's done, nearly too easy to be true! I have also the real od-light now, thanks for http://www.tradera.se.

If someone cares, here is some images of my little (?) engine bay face lift:
