Hallo!
My name is Michal (friends call me Misiek) and I live In Krakow, south Poland. I registered at this forum few months ago and I want to introduce now. Firstly I want to thank all of You because pictures and informations which I found here were very helpful when I was seeking my car – THANK YOU.
So… I bought my Amazon in Holland near Utrecht and came back from there on wheels, over 1200km without any problems. She was manufactured in 1968, model 122S. Car is equipped in alternator, unleaded fuel head and in one Stromberg 175. I bought two Skinners Union HS6 carburetors with intake manifold, but before I change them I have to fix body and I decided to paint all elements. I attached some pictures with my “new” car and fixing process.
Best regards
Misiek

Hallo!
Jan, thank You
Rust...hmmmm....I must tell You that I expected little less corroded places, but it is not very big problem - just more patches and more Loctite's Rust Killer
.
Now I know that Amazon is distance runner - I was tired and she was not
Here are some pictures of interior.
Best regards

Hallo!
I need Your advice. As I wrote I want paint my Volvo. One of the elements which will be painted is dashboard. I removed all switches, but I've got problem with ignition. I totally don't have idea how can I do this. I unscrewed two screws which were on the dashboard from below and shake a little ignition and... nothing has happend. Simple I don't want to destroy chromed ring and ignition itself. That's why I'm asking about Your help. Type of ignition in my Amazon is on picture below.
I also want to convert back again my Volvo to 122s. I've got carburetors and I need to buy such part as:
1. Longest rod,
2. Metal bracket of this rod fixed to intake manifold,
3. Throttle stop screw,
4. Heat screen,
5. Exhaust manifold.
Are tradera, ebay and blocket only one places where I can search? Maybe one of You got these elements for sale?
Thank You very very much.
Best regards
Misiek

On the inside of the dashboard on the ignitionswitch you have a pin that locks "the lock-part" you have to turn the key to ignotion setting to push the pin in then you can pull the chromed part out and the rest should free it self to... Sorry for my bad vocabulary but I hope it helps. If you look at the service manuals linked by this forum you might find pictures...
God luck and keep up the god work!

Hallo!
It works. I removed all switches now - thank You.
One question more. What do You think about Noxudol/Auson? Do You use these products with You Volvos? I'm thinking about underbody coatings and cavity waxes. Maybe You use others, which one - Teroson, Mike Sanders....?
Thank You very much.
Best regards and good day
Michal
