-58 Amazon Restoration

Post by NVolvo »

Hi,

This is an Amazon Sport of 1958, probably the oldest in France. There are a lot of work, but the body is relatively in good shape.

;)

November 2005, when I buy this Amazon in kit!

Thank you for your welcome ;)

I started with a "spackel" to scrape the blackson, then I sanded and treated with phosphoric acid. After I will apply a primer and put a black epoxy paint to protect all.

And maybe a "baklucka" if I can not fix the original one.

welcome to the swedish amazon forum.
It'll be very interesting to follow your thread among your renovation of your sport.
My english gramma sucks but as we say in sweden "it's the thought that counts"...

Good luck and don't give up!

Can you give any background on how you got your car?
And how did you find this site?

The chrome part between the doors can be a little hard to find and the the "baklucka" in this older mode is a little harder to find than the newer ones but that schouldnt be impossible. Maybe little expensive to ship from sweden...
Really nice car and work !
Keep us updated with pictures and stuff.

Mybe you already have seen it but here is a man i croatia writing in english on this forum.
